We were all shocked to learn of Master Trooper Davonne E. Witt’s demise.
She worked for the Virginia Safety Division. We share the news of her death, which looks to have been a suicide that happened not far from her home in Powhatan County, with great grief.

Since the 93rd Basic Session was over in 1996, Master Trooper Witt has been a part of our team. She worked for the Safety Division’s Area 61 Office, where she was well-known for her dependability and dedication to her coworkers. Her positive attitude and sincere nature will live on in our memories forever.
Details on the funeral arrangements, during which we will be able to say goodbye to our cherished colleague, will be soon made available by the Virginia Safety Division. We kindly ask that you remember her family and coworkers in your prayers during these challenging times.
It is crucial that we keep in mind the value of supporting one another while we all process this awful incident. The Virginia State Police are a family as well as coworkers.
